SAMADHAN
Therapy, early support and schooling for children with intellectual disabilities in two low-income neighbourhoods of Delhi, along with steady paid work for their mothers.
Vetting in progress
Giving to SAMADHAN opens when vetting is complete and the first cohort launches in early 2027.

SAMADHAN’s rebuilt website, in review, with a painting made at SAMADHAN. We do not show children’s photos until every family has given consent.

What your gift supports
From a knock on the door to a classroom.
SAMADHAN works with children from birth to 16 at its centres in Dakshinpuri and Dwarka. Each child follows the same path, at their own pace. Alongside it, a mothers’ group offers support and paid work making laddoos, spices and Nutri-mix to sell.
- 01
Finding children
Community workers visit homes and local schools to find children who need help, before they fall behind.
- 02
Assessment
A paediatrician, therapists and a psychologist see how each child moves, speaks and learns.
- 03
Early intervention
For babies and young children. Parents learn exercises to do at home every day, with regular visits to the centre.
- 04
Special education
Small classes of about five children to one teacher. When a child is ready, SAMADHAN helps them join a regular school.
- 05
Skills for teenagers
